Situated in the picturesque Breede River Valley, known by many as the Robertson Wine Valley, the small village of Ashton lies between the Breede river and the foothills of the Langeberg mountains.
Ashton lies along the R62, and between the N1 and N2 highways, allowing easy and convenient access to nearby towns such of Robertson, Montagu, Bonnievale and Worcester and is a short drive, less than a two hours from Cape Town.
The area is well known for its fruit and wine production, and is home to 11 co-operatives, 14 estates and 7 private producers, as well as two canneries and the numerous rose nurseries for which the region has became famous over the years.
